Basic Physics

I must say that I am very much looking forward to my inaugural dinner and Kate here has made an extremely strong case for her attendance.

Why, it would take an iron intellect to argue with her scientific dissection on the folly of foreign travel, whilst I couldn’t agree more with her perspective on climate change, backed as it is by immutable FACT!
"I have 3 kids and have been going for a caravan holiday in Cornwall for the last 5-6 years with the in-laws and a niece. The 8 of us share one caravan and have a wonderful time every year. The adults take turns going out some evenings or stay together. If the weather is bad, there are loads of things to do both on and off the camp. Kids dont care how much you spend on holidays, they would rather have good quality time with thier family doing interesting things. This country is full of them but because we live here we dont notice them. Ive done the flying to other countries on holiday and found the travelling can be stressful for all-and messy (Ive been thrown up on and once the other end due to a very bad nappy!) the best time we have had is the 8 of us going to the beach and making sandcastle or buring Grandad. Stop and look around at some of the good things the country has to offer. It has to be good as we have such an imigration problem as people wanting to live here."

"Beansontoast, you say you need to look at the climate over a period of time, seems to me that the last 3 years have been colder than it has been for several years before. It just keeps getting colder and colder every year. I would also like to have a logical explanation as to why the molicules that are so called "destroying the ozone" are thousands of times heavier that oxygen, helium etc,etc are getting up there creating the damage. Heavy things fall, light things float, basic physics!"

Burping grandad or burning grandad? Either sounds like capital fun!

If light things float, why aren't my lightbulbs closer to the ceiling?
